Hello, I am Katya!

I'm a professional portrait and lifestyle photographer based in Menlo Park, California. I love photographing people and the many ways each one of us shows up in the world.

My work blends classic posed portraits with those in-between lifestyle moments—the unscripted, genuine interactions where emotion and connection shine.

I believe there's more than one authentic version of who we are. We grow, evolve, and express different parts of ourselves throughout our lives. Some people want to celebrate exactly where they are. Others are exploring something new—a new career, a growing family, a creative pursuit, or simply a new chapter. Photography has the power to honor every one of these versions.

Photography has been a part of my life since I received my first camera at 11 years old. I had just moved from Russia to the United States, and everything around me felt new and fascinating. I spent hours wandering the streets of New Haven, Connecticut, and capturing anything that caught my eye. That early passion led me to study art and design, pursue a career in design (with a slight detour to earn an MBA), and ultimately return to photography as my profession.

When I'm not behind the camera, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, finding creative inspiration, and making time for a good workout with my favorite music.
